Hello everyone.

I was wondering if an M1 owner could test out if GZDoom is able to run under Rosetta 2. GZDoom is a free x86 OpenGL source port for the original Doom (1993).

You can download it from here:

In order to get Doom running with GZDoom, you'll also need the IWAD file from the original game.

It works fine on my Mac mini (2020). I'm using the latest Brutal Doom with it, and the graphics performance is far beyond my old Mac mini (2012) and its Intel HD 4000. It was playable on that machine, but the "new" graphics courtesy of GZDoom/Brutal Doom are fast and buttery smooth.

That's great news. Thank you for testing it out with the Mac Mini (I assume you mean the M1).
