does homepod mini work with spotify

i want to buy a homepod mini, but i dont know if it works with spotify without using airplay. i have an echo dot now but want a homepod mini

No, you can AirPlay Spotify stream to HomePod but you can’t ask Siri to play Spotify music. To be clear, Apple has released an API for third party music services integration last year. Some services (Pandora, Amazon Music) have used it, but for now we don’t know if Spotify plans to support it. The ball is in Spotify camp. For now the best you can do is AirPlay
