Eh. Honestly, I don't like the aluminum bars at the top and bottom of the front; I prefer and unbroken look on the front of the phone a la the iPhone or the Nexus 4. The thinner bezel on the sides is nice. Other than that I don't see what's really that great or innovative about.

I think it's the best designed smartphone we have seen so far. Even better than the iPhone 5. It's very impressive. The only smartphone I would consider outside of the iPhone. The big question is whether htc will be able to market it well enough to sell big numbers.

I think it's a very good phone. What HTC needs to do is put $100M of marketing muscle behind it.

:DI LOVE this phone. Its the perfect size and will definitely win the award this year. I also love the software. Blinkfeed is amazining and the way it handles photos is awesome. Apple dropped the bucket with the iPhone 4 and forward. The 5s is nothing to write home about.

I think it takes the iPhone design to the next level with an all aluminum design, curved back, and stereo speakers. I love what I have seen in the design in the brief minute I had with the dummy phone at best buy, and can't wait to have both in hand side by side.

It's my opinion people here put too much emphasis on how the phone looks over how it functions. Form over function.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't buy the technically best smartphone on the planet if it was pink and hello kitty shaped. At the same time if it looks like a smartphone I'll pick function over form 9 times out of 10.

Makes me wonder if a lot of people choose an iPhone just because it looks nice and has an Apple logo on it. Which is fine, not my money but my prioritize are in other places.

OFF COURSE 100% people buy apple products for their looks, they also happen to work as good as they look

im totally neutral as i have the note 2, will have the s4 and the one as well as the iPhone.

samsungs dont look as good as they function
htc one looks better then it functions

everyone is calling the iphone boring and i am right there, but, bottom line, it looks as good as it functions 100%

Short answer, Yes it impresses me. Long answer, sorta. They screen and the innovation and marketing techniques of the UltraPixel is almost as good as Apples. The UltraPixel is really on 4 megapixel but has a bigger Sensor. AKA it performs better, as it takes in more light. So it is 4MP but not the same. If you catch my drift (is that the term :p ). So yeah those points impress. So does the build quality. BUT the launcher doesn't. It add's nothing but a stuck on widget that you cannot remove to my knowledge, yeah you can get a new launcher/homescreen, but we shouldnt have to do that. And they have done thew same as Samsung, and FB phone, catered to the minority, and they will suffer for adding a trivial feature like that. So apart from that, yeah it does.

I think the HTC One looks great. If I was going back to Android at this time I would probably get it over the GS4.

Im a bit iffy on HTC QC tho, so i really hope they put a lot of love into the QC on this phone.

I agree it works well (maybe not as good as it looks depending on user needs).

My point was I'm getting the impression looks and Apple logo are the only deciding factors to some people.

I have and use an iPhone but not because of its looks. I actually keep my phone in a case so in comparison I think it looks pretty bad with its small screen (in a big honkin case).

I have never dropped a phone and had the screen crack. I once had a phone slip out of my pocket while getting in my car and then ran over it though...where's the test for that, huh!? ;)

I have to admit that it's the first Android phone that has captured my attention. If I wasn't already invested so heavily in the Apple ecosystem, that would definitely be my phone of choice.

I hope it does really well. HTC has released a winner and doesn't deserve to be overshadowed by the crap Samsung puts out.

I hafta say, ever since ive bought the ip4 i though no other phone could beat it in terms of design. I though i would never go the droid way.

But the HTC One has really impressed me (the black color version especially)... Well coming June its goodbye to apple and hopefully apple comes up with something better in ip6 so that i can do the jump back

I am not that impressed with it. Sure the design is good, but sense just does not look that good to me. That blink feed or what ever it is called does not looked good to me at all.
What is with iPhone users saying this would be the android phone they would get? Is design the only thing you care about? There have been some really great android phones that have come and gone before the one. I just don't get it.

Honestly I think my nexus 4 is sexier.
