Does iMac use the same RAM as macbook Pro?

Hello, I have an 27" iMac 2010, but im exchanging it with the new macbook pro(2011), but i already ordered 8gb extra RAM from online and its on the way now-
I am wondering if they still use the same RAM for both machines? or does mbp have separate mobile type or something?
