Just curious. I do know that beta versions of iOS do extensive logging, and I wonder if installing the stable versions 'cleans' these logs or files.

Installing a final version will not remove the logs. There are two ways to remove them. Using a 3rd party Mac app or syncing with iTunes. After running all of iOS 10.0 betas, I ran Phone Cleaner on my Mac. I had over 1.5GB of diagnostic logs to be cleaned. For whatever reason iTunes didn't clear them. But I think that was only a bug.
