Does iPad convert RAW images files?

Hello,

I saw reviews of the Camera Connection kit. RAW images were imported and recognized by iPad. I am using Lightroom to process RAW image files to JPEG.

Does the iPad process RAW files to JPG for e-mailing? That would be really neat.
