Does iPad offer legit tethering hosting with AT&T?

Is there a tethering data plan option for the iPad like there is for the iPhone?

I can't afford to lose my connection when remote if something causes a jailbreak to suddenly fail, so I'd want to pay for the real thing if I go that route to get remote data access on my laptop.

No. Maybe with ios 4.
