Hello,

Got my iPad up and running, and the microsim's ready to go. I'm using O2 in the UK, and it's now set up on the data plan.

I've also connected the iPad to my wireless network.

I've been typing various things into the forum search to try and figure this out, but I can't locate the right patterns of words, so simple question...

When I've got both a 3G signal *and* a WiFi signal - does the iPad prioritise the WiFi - so it doesn't chew into my cellular data plan?

I would assume yes, but hey...

Yes, if your wifi is available it will connect and use that. To save on battery though when I'm at home I turn off cellular data and just use wifi. Theres no need for it like there is on an iPhone.

Same way when I am away from home I turn wifi off and go 3G... Near my job there are some open wifi connections... So depending on lots of variables I either have a good wifi signal or I don't. Rather rely on the 3G ATT network at that point....
