lol, nothing against you or anything, but everytime you post about your mac you always seem to have sort of problem. Is there anything problem free about your iMac. But it's cool, I don't have one so I'm jealous anyway.
actually theres a way around this, rofl... just click the stop button once it gets to the verifying portion, it will come up with a safety message saying ur disc may not work right because it hasnt checked what it just burned but I have yet to have a failed burn on my MacBook Pro. Verifying is a pure waste of time, just cancel it and move on with life Not to mention if it finished verification and finds a problem its not like it can go back and fix it for you, gonna hafta burn another disc either way. Might be worth it if burning DVD's full of important data to make sure none of it got corrupted but that's about it.
No, because I always stop verification. For the <1% of the time that disks don't work right, it's not worth 30 minutes of my time for the other 200 disks I burn. I'll take the chance that one might not work in exchange for the time verification would take!
you see me, a new mac user, find the machine SOO much faster than my PC, that i dont really think anything it does annoying or taking up too much time.
No, I skip verifying. I've not come across enough corrupt disks/images to warrant the checking. If I have issues once it's burnt/mounted I go back and check the md5sum. if that's different, I burn/download a new one.
Hey, I started out with 88KB diskettes, so I do other things while I'm having the computer write disks. Lack of speed is not a problem if you're not paying attention at all.
Agreed. I forgot to turn it off last week and an iPhoto DVD failed verification. I tried it when the drive spat it out and sure enough, worked perfectly.
