I was watching Leo Laporte browsing through his hundred-or-so apps struggling to find the right icon. Is there a quick Spotlight like on the proper OS X?

The first home screen (before all of your apps) if the Spotlight Search.

It has the same spotlight as the iPhone, swipe to the last page or double click the home button to evoke it.
