iPod Does it keep the playcount?

I am purchasing a dual 2 ghz PM and all my music will be going from my PB to that, will it keep all the play count ratings? I don't want to have music etc on my PB since I can just play it over the network if I want too. And, when you play it over the network, does it add to the playcount also? Thanks guys.

you will have to transfer over your Library XML file to keep your playcounts and ratings, but its obviously not all that hard to do so that won't be a problem. playing your music over the network will not add to the playcount because it is streaming it to a different computer and does not keep track of who is listening to what
