I use Tmobile and own a first gen Iphone (upgraded to 3.0)
I have cycorder (video recorder) I can cut copy paste and even have MMS
(not a app ) the actual MMS like the 3g phones
But I was thinking of getting rid of my phone and jumping to the 3g just because I want something new. But is it really worth it? I ALWAYS use my phone on wifi and I was thinking of getting a 3g because the 3gs is ridiculously expensive Would it really matter if I got a 3g or 3gs?
As I said before Im using it on wifi so what would be the benefits of me going to 3g? Im sure the apps load faster right? That would be a plus ......
Any Tmo users out there who switched to a 3g phone?

Useless. 2g has more powerful WiFi than the 3g, and you can't use the 3g feature on T-Mob. So unless you want it for the better screen, or the louder ringer/speaker, I don't think it would really benefit you.

+1 ^^^ I never noticed any difference in speed or if the 3G was snappier than the v1 iPhone. If you are looking at faster app opening, then I would suggest the 3GS. My brother received my old 3G 16GB iPhone and he's running it on T-Mobile as well. Downside, is the lack of 3G available on T-Mobile network, so EDGE is almost like dial-up.....:(
