I'm interested in jailbreaking my 3GS but I'm running 8.2.1, does anyone know or has anyone tried jailbreaking with 8.2.1 installed?

Or does it matter?

Thanks

Question: is this the first time apple has tried to stop the jailbreak from the iTunes side of things, i know firmware updates usually break them but i can't remember having to worry about iTunes.

Accident ??

Yea, because my updates download automatically and I clicked install before looking to see what they were. Good job being a smart ass!

After you uninstall and clear the registry you go find an older version of iTunes online then just install that

I haven't been able to find 8.2 for mac though. Closest i found was the 8.2 betas and those won't work properly either.

I'll set it up as new, but i just want it to sync the contacts so those will come back when i sync it

Well if you're using Windows, you can use Windows Contacts and sync your contacts automatically every time you restore. No more worrying about back ups.
