Hi I just got an iPhone.

Just wondering if the iTunes gift cards work with the App Store?

I want to buy a few apps but I don't want to use my credit card.

Thanks.

depends on where you live. If you live in the U.S., you should be fine. But i heard that in canada, itunes card can only be used to buy music/videos but not apps.

Yes, it will work for whatever they sell in iTunes ... in the top right area, Quick Links ... click the REDEEM link ... enter your code ... hit the redeem button and you should see the credit appear

I live in Australia.

Hmm more problems, how do I create an iTunes account without entering a credit card number?

Ahhh damn, the reason why I want to use the iTune cards is that I don't want to use my credit card at all for privacy reasons.

Google "create itunes account without credit card," and I think you'll find that you can.

if you live in australia, i really have no clue if the itunes card will work with the app store. i would just contact apple and ask them.
