Here's an example. I have a subscription to about 12 podcasts. One of those is the Apple Keynotes podcast. I like to watch them as they appear, but I don't sync them to my iPhone. Right now I have my podcasts set to sync the 1 most recent episode of selected podcasts. Apple keynotes is not checked.

I just got off the plane and I watched the keynote podcast on it. I'm back in the hotel, plug my phone in to sync, and I see a warning message on my phone that I need to delete some photos to make room for other things. Curiously, that 400MB of space that used to be free on my iPhone is taken. I figured it was probably the keynote as that's just over 400mb. Yup. It's on my phone, even though the box isn't checked. So then I go and I manually delete it from my phone by doing the finger swipe. Re-sync. iTunes wants to put it back on.

I don't get it. What part about "unchecked box" does iTunes not get?

Not sure if this is related... but

I watch a lot of videos on the Touch and then delete them... but when I charge and connect to iTunes, they reappear on the Touch (in iTunes)... even though they don't show up on the Touch. Hmmm.

I manually manage videos and music on the iPod (since I have a few devices I connect).

Just wondered if anyone else has seen this effect and if there's a fix or what am I doing that's causing it?

Cheers!
