The main thing that concerns me about taking on an update of my 2012 iMac to 10.9 Mavericks, is the potential loss of Force Feedback when playing racing games (e.g. DiRT 2 and other Feral ports) with my Logitech Momo Force wheel.

I manually added the LogitechForceFeedback kernel extension (as suggested by other posts on this forum) awhile back, and have been thrilled by its ability to preserve the responsiveness and interactivity of the wheel with the games I love.

Has anyone done the upgrade to Mavericks and tested their Logitech racing wheel after? Is the .kext deleted and needs to be re-installed? Is Force Feedback preserved?

I briefly tested F1 2012 and it still seams to be working with my Logitech Formula Force EX.

I upgraded and it was still there - no reinstall.

Still works fine with my G27.

Note that the Logitech Force Feedback plug-in only works on 32-bit apps. It lacks a 64-bit part. It's currently not an issue with most games right now, but when more memory-hungry games get ported over, they will most likely be 64-bit.

We don't have any Feral racing games planned right now that will require 64bit so you all should be good for now at least.

One "game," or rather emulator, that is 64-bit is PCSX-R. This is mainly because I found ARC to be easier to work with.

And yes, the plug-in for the controller does support Force Feedback.
