does .mac give virex free?

I was looking to download/install virex. I have .mac and I just purchased a iMac INTEL. So, everything should be at the latest. I can't seem to find a link to download virex anywhere tho.

I don't plan on installing it right now or anything soon. But, when the time comes... I don't want to be clueless if its really needed

.Mac stopped handing out Virex for free shortly after Tiger came out. That's fine, it wasn't a very good program.

ClamXav is fine if you really need to have a malware scanner, and it's free. I don't know of anything that's been made native for Macintel yet, so you're on your own finding out what the CPU load is like (natively, it's pretty lightweight, so it may be fine as it is).
