does Mac Mini Ram same as the one used in MBP?

just upgraded my penryn macbook pro to 4G ram. will my old 2G ram (2x1G) from MBP able to use on a Mac Mini Core 2 Duo 1.83Ghz? thanks

to my knowledge the macbook macbook pro and mac mini use the same ram
but i woudnt trust me on this
