Hi Folks,

I am considering buying my first Mac, the latest model Mac mini. Could you Mac mini owner please check and confirm whether Mac mini support pivot function on display port and DVI port. This is so important and it is a make or break decision for me.

Sorry if this has been asked before.. I did search but could not find the answer I need.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a Mac Mini, but have several other Macs and even my iBook (in Mac OS X 10.3/.4) does support rotating the desktop on an external display, thus I conclude the feature is built into the Mac OS X rather than the hardware, as the hardware does not really care if it has to display 1920 x 1080 or 1080 x 1920.

Can you go into an Apple Store or any other store where Mac Minis are sold and test it out yourself, you can even ask that they show you, as that is one of your major selling points.

Or you can contact Apple via phone and ask them, if they could verify that ability.

Either way, it is located in System Preferences > Displays.

Check another in the yes category :)

The Cinema Display is on the Mini-DVI port using a Mini-DVI-DVI adapter, and the SyncMaster is on the miniDP using a miniDP-VGA adapter.
