Does Macbook Air (rev.C) run hotter on ethernet/usb vs. WiFi?

Would there be a reason that when I connect to the internet via the usb/ethernet adaptor that the Air would run hotter than through the WiFi connection. Perhaps it is just warmer today but I get the feeling that the CPU temp and fans kicked up faster using the ethernet connection. I would think the opposite true but maybe if the ethernet connection is considerably faster it is working the system faster as well.
Perhaps there is no link. I always believed that a direct internet connection through a port was less stress on a machine.
Any thoughts?

Actually, all ethernet sending/receiving is done on the logic board versus the wifi card which is located away from it. So that might be your explanation. Although I'm guessing that the difference in heat is fairly minor.

very unlikely to be a major factor, networking doesn't need much of the computer's power to operate

What about downloading or watching video files?

Thanks for the responses. But watching YouTube videos or downloading video files does elevate the temps and the fans, so I was also wondering which method of connection would work the computer the least? Streaming video does heat the computer up. And when I started to download some MKV files through the usb/ethernet port the fans kicked in pretty fast and the temps upped as well. Curious why downloading say 4GB of video files would do that. Maybe would have been the same by wifi, don't know.
I guess for this type of stuff this computer is, as they say, fragile. On my Imac nothing changes in terms of temps and fans while doing this. I heard there is a Gala Beta from Adobe that works better in terms of temps and fans. But I have 10.6.4 and I also hear that it isn't enabled for the most recent update from Apple. However, when I watched part of a DVD on the Superdrive nothing really changed in terms of temps.
