does MMS cost extra to send/receive vs SMS?

I have 250 family text plan

but now ATT has activated MMS, does MMS cost more to send/receive or is it the same as SMS?

so I will be able to send/receive 250 MMS per month without charge?

so for example i send a group MMS to 5 ppl, will it count as 1 MMS or 5 seperate messages?

It's going to be counted as five message of course.

As long as you stay under 250 messages, you're just fine. If you go over, MMS costs more per message vs. text messages. I believe the prices are $.50/message for MMS and $.20/message for SMS. Don't quote me on those prices, but I know there is a difference.
