Would extra Ram for my macbook help internet speed?Like the speed a page opens? or is it only helpfull for intense program with video or photos.I was thinking about going with 2gb ram.

Download speed in particular won't be affected as dpaanlka pointed out, but it's a good idea nonetheless.
Most people recommend at least 1GB of RAM under OS X in order to achieve optimal, comfortable performance.

I think I will just get the 1 gb. thats what I have on my linux box. It works fine and did speed programs up a lot. I did notice that page downloads on the internet didn't speed up. I thought maybe it would be different on the mac.thanks for the input.

Mac likes to use more RAM than Linux does.

You will be okay with 1GB of RAM when running Mac OS X, but I find that Mac OS has a sweet spot of around 1.5GB-2GB (or more) of RAM.

I'm getting 2gb just for the bragging rights. I usually go big!:D

good idea, since the macbook 'requires' equal ram and it would be more expensive to try to upgrade later. I just bought 2gb for my imac :)
