Does my mac have a virus?

First I would like to say I have been a lurker to these forums for a long time now and I just decided to join because you guys seem to know what your talking about. My question is... what is going on with my imac! I've had it for a while now and all of a sudden this happens:







some of them flicker too. I hope its not a virus...

Not a virus. Hardware issue.

Happened a few months ago on my girlfriend's CD 2006 MBP, I'm pretty sure it's the graphics card that's bad, but I haven't had the time to put the heat gun to it and see if that helps fix it.

If you're still under warranty, bring it in for repair.

Definitely looks like a hardware issue. One thing for certain, it's not a virus, since none exist that run on your Mac.
