I've noticed this "phenomenon" ever since like 6 years ago, but never really bothered to ask anyone. Do you? I'm on a 10.5 machine right now and the aqua REALLY pops and looks more shiny and stuff when I tilt my head sideways.

From a normal angle the reflections don't pop that much. Weird right? XD

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4s: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Only when I accidentally bang my head on the table tilting sideways.

Seriously though, back in system 7 through 9 I noticed something similar. Windows and buttons were fat pixel lines you could magnify in ResEdit, and a couple pixels made a big difference in how 2D or 3D things looked.

And yep... I'm noticing it too in OSX
