I'm about to receive a new MacBook Pro with the latest Snow Leopard. I've been running Leopard 10.5.8 on my various Macs for CS3 and LightRoom 2.5 - and have not yet taken the SL plunge.

So, should I expect any issues running CS3 under SL, or should all be just fine?

I have read about many others having intermittent problems with CS3 and CS4.
Photoshop CS will not run for me under Snow Leopard, but it works great with Leopard. Just wondering if anyone has been able to run Photoshop CS under Snow Leopard.

I am running CS4 under Snow Leopard, and it runs fine (well, as fine as any Adobe product runs).

I know the OP's question is about CS3, but given the second comment I thought it was worthwhile to mention my CS4 experience.

I've been running CS3 under Snow Leopard since SL launch today. Absolutely zero problems, no crashes, nothing. And I'm a heavy user.

I've been running Photoshop CS3 under Snow Leopard. It's been trouble free, aside from one issue that I also had in Leopard (on rare occasions it won't let me save a file from the "save for web" screen).

I have a MacBook Pro with the 2.5 GHz Core2Duo chip and 4GB ram. It has run CS3 on a daily basis with no issues. In fact, the only issue I have had with the computer at all was a hang on the first boot after the SL update on release day. Fixed with a shut down/restart. Not bad...:D

Since I have had no replies about Photoshop CS working with Snow Leopard, I am wondering if Photoshop Elements 8 works with Snow Leopard.

I use Photoshop Extended CS3 and Flash Professional CS3 on Snow Leopard, now even with the 64-Bit kernel. There were some issues with 10.6.0, but since 10.6.1 the CS3 apps run just fine and I do not know of any problems since the first Snow Leopard update.

Just update your Snow Leopard to the current version 10.6.3 right after you've installed it and you should be okay.

Thank you, thank you, everyone! I'm glad to hear that I won't have to update to CS5 ASAP... I will be able to keep running CS3 when I go to Snow Leopard on my new MBPro tomorrow. :D

Excellente'

Now I too am running CS3 under Snow leopard. I had heard that there had been some problems, but I guess over the months, they have been worked out.

Thanks for all the replies.

Also on CS3 on SL. Runs great, only crashes I have are when really blowing up an image, or having too many images on screen at the same time. I've got 4GB RAM, but I always have a ton of stuff going on so a crash once every blue moon or so doesn't bother me. Processor is a 2.17ghz so I get some beachballing on opening some hugely layered psd's.

It's definitely very stable though..
