Hi,

back in Oct 24 I placed and order from the US for a Grey MBP KB cover, an invoice was created and appeared on my PayPal account. After a few weeks I received an email that Grey wasn't available but black was, do I want that shipped? I Declined and asked when resupplies would be coming and asked why even made the customer wait three weeks to inform via email to let me know so late that an item isn't in stock.

They couldn't reply to that, nor give an indication when the Grey would be stocked. They had no idea. So I emailed regularly monthly, asking this, some replies but mostly nothing over months.

I gave up on that order and reordered the original product again in March 25, said the wanted colour was in stock, again received a confirmation....and once again, no shipping dated, availity, explenation of my previous order and them no loner replaying afterwards yet again. They did respond to my query but it was a screenshot of my order with zero information to the Oct 2024, nor March 2025. Many e-mails about both dates were ignored. The last was simply a copy of the invoice I had received, this was what I had sent them in the first place, as again no written responds that make sense .

What is going with his company? How can two orders be so disastrous with little communication their end? The Grey cover ordered in March 2023 showed available but it's not shipping and ignoring answers when asking to clarify.

Are they for real? Are they trading and has anyone actually received their goods or being stonewalled like me?

Cheers

"Once bitten, twice shy." You actually ordered from them again after the first debacle?

I ran a Google search and found this. It's all that is available as it was apparently written on the website and now the website is defunct. So we have an answer, but not a happy one..... It seems clear that the new ownership and facility haven't done anything or are not planning to do anything with continuing the company and its products, which is a shame.

I did, as my account wasn't charged either time. Last year they replied via email of not having stock of the colour I wanted and in March their website was active with ability to order the correct colour. I believed afterwards that their customer service wasn't the greatest and they were restocked finally as all appeared order-able.

Thank you, it is a shame. Back in March they still existed with a fully functioning site and products to order, no notice of transition either.

They had a wonderful protective/ thin KB cover for my M2 16" MBP in silver that many on MR mentioned. Just by chance, perhaps some here may have an alternative product that I could source?

Bonus points if it's available in the EU :)

Interesting..... It could be that things fell through altogether with whatever had been planned with new ownership and such. Definitely this is really sad, as they had some really useful and wonderful products. I've been using RadTech microfibre keyboard covers for many years and will miss not being able to buy a new one whenever I replace my current computer, (16" 2020 MBP) unless..... (hopefully, wistfully thinking) .... what I'm using now on it will fit my next MBP. Unfortunately I already have a strong suspicion that it probably won't, though. Sigh. Them's the breaks.....

For what it’s worth, that’s from 2018. Doesn’t explain what’s happening now, though.

Oh, now THAT's interesting! I didn't catch it, as when I ran the Google search the info came up right on top as though it were current. Thank you for this!
This is the invoice I received recently on 25th March, being able to select the right colour product this time and was allegedly in stock. IT even proceeded to payment via PayPal to hold the amount (not charge it though).

Check your statements carefully to ensure you weren't actually charged for anything. If not, consider yourself lucky and resume your search for a suitable replacement.

I've bought a few of these this month since RadTech is no longer in business. https://www.shaggymax.com/
Thanks so much. So, before I pull the trigger on this order, they don't seem to differentiate on which M1-M4 16" MBP one has. Mine is a M2 and I'm guessing this is the correct one? Just the cloth without cleaning fluids, etc.

Do you find there being a large qualitative or practical (dimension) difference between the cloth from Shaggymax vs RadTech?

Have done so, thanks. There was only a temporary commitment via PayPal, connected to my CC.

Yes. That’s the one I bought. From what I remember about my old RadTech it was a lot smaller. If memory services I had to purchase one for a 15” MacBook since the one for the M series only covered the keyboard and not the trackpad as well. I no longer have the RadTech to be 100%. So far I’m liking the Shaggymax It’s almost the size of the display.

Thanks for the feedback. Tried y/day and today to order over to the EU via PayPal and it failed miserably every time..."something went wrong...the page doesn't exist". Thought it was a passkey issue but it appears to be a PayPal-shaggy problem (order pre-booked via my bank but minus the shipping fee, which incidentally is higher than the purchase price for piece of cloth). Ordered now directly with CC and shipment confirmed.

Will report back after arrival 7-21 days from now. :)

It’s so irritating when shipping is more than the item!!! I hope you like it.
