Does shipping in November mean in store in November?

So I am in japan right now and really want the 27' i7. I don't want to chance getting it shipped all the way out here though. So will it hit store the same day as shipping date?

Also the ram is user upgradable right? Why would anyone buy it from apple at those prices?

I thought the i7 was BTO or maybe I read the blog post wrong?

Yes, it is user upgradable, as long as you aren't afraid of using a screwdriver.

And some people buy them from Apple because they don't know how to replace it or just too afraid to do it themselves, lol. I don't know, I'd upgrade it myself.

If it is in stores before, it's likely to be limited quantities. History says those that purchase online usually get them the quickest, if it's not - it's only a few days off.

cool thanks for the input. kept me from driving 2 hours to fukuoka to check the apple store. I will just order one then.
