Does subscribing to icloud shared album use my icloud stoarge limit? Or do the photos only count for the owner of these photos?

No.

It definitely doesn't count towards your limit.

Not sure about wether it even counts for the album owner's limit - I seem to remember shared albums are simply excluded.
