Does the Airpods Pro 2 sound better with iPhone 14 than with older iPhones?

Hello, I have read from various sources that Airpods Pro 2 sound better from iPhone 14 than older ones with BT 5.0. Is this true, can anyone confirm/deny? I have an iPhone 13 Pro with Bt 5.0 and bought the APP2, am I missing out on any headphone experience if I don't have the latest iPhone or are there zero/minimal changes?
