Does the base 2.5Ghz i5 21.5" 2011 iMac come with SSD cabling?

I just ordered my wife a new base iMac, it comes with a 500GB disk and I'm aware that if I replace that I get fan issues but I'm wondering if that model ships with the actual physical mounting, power and signalling parts to allow it to have an SSD installed later alongside the disk. Obviously the 2.7Ghz 21.5" iMac can be ordered with both a regular disk and an SSD but I don't know if they'd fit the SSD parts to the cheaper model.

it does not. SSD's are a 2.5" form factor. The HDD in an iMac is a 3.5" and you would need to order that as a separate part. I do not even see the option of ordering it through Apple's service provider portal.

Definitely check up on this. I heard that the 21.5" iMacs DO in fact now have an extra SSD slot behind the optical drive.

The 2010 iMacs only had the SSD build to order option on the 27" iMacs so I believe the 2010 21.5" iMacs did not have the SSD cabling.

However, I read somewhere that the 2011 21.5" iMacs do have the slot and cabling behind the optical drive but of course it is very difficult to get to. Double check this though.
