No way Apple will pay for the license to use it. It's more probable that Apple would create their own custom codec than to pay more money to Qualcomm. Reactions: doolar

I’d be interested to know this. Especially with how the APM handle data differently to the APP (decode it in real time after it’s sent). Is the better sound people are getting from the APM due to this software decoding method, or the hardware within them (larger drivers etc.)?

And what about the airpods themselves, they don't support aptX either? EDIT: Posted simultaneously heh.
