Hi all,

because I'm an insane person, I'm actually considering getting the iPad Mini 5.

The price is insane, comparing it to the much cheaper 10.5 iPad Pro, but I just prefer the tiny size.

However, the last iPad Mini I used was the 2nd generation one, so I'm not sure if recent ones support the multitasking features of newer iPads.

Can anyone enlighten me?

In what way is the 10.5 iPad Pro cheaper?

On the refurb site, it's £449 for a refurb 64GB 10.5 IPP vs £399 for a brand new 64GB mini...

And yes, it does support all of the multitasking features, even ones the ipad 2018 doesn't like all 3 apps being active in split screen with a slide over.

I have to compare refurb to new because that's what available to me.

For refurbs, upgrades cost significantly less than with Apple, so the same config I want / need (256 GB / LTE), costs 550 € for the iPad Pro and 720 € for the Mini.

Thank you kindly for your reply!

I get that! The refurb ipad pro is still a decent purchase for many.

That said your numbers are odd to me. In the UK a 256GB / LTE configuration is £669 but the iPad Pro is £689. It's still more expensive.

What country are you in, getting ipad pros so cheap? I checked a bunch of countries and the only one that had your config is Ireland and it is €799 vs €779 for the mini.

iPad Mini 5 can do split screen, PIP, and multitasking.
