iPod Does the iPod Shuffle work with iPhone (clicker) headphones?

I know the clicker is kinda useless on a Shuffle being that the Shuffle itself acts as a remote/clicker...but...would headphones with a remote/clicker thingie work with the 3rd gen iPod Shuffle? Would I be able to pause, skip forward/backward?
