Hi all,
As the title states, I would like to know if the Mac App Store release of Call of Duty (original) supports the United Offensive expansion pack.
The reason I'm asking is because Amazon has COD1 and the UO expansion pack (titled Call of Duty Deluxe Edition) available for digital download $23.05, but the description says that the release is not supported in Lion.
(see it here)
Being that the version Amazon is hosting is incompatible with Lion, it's pretty much out of the question. But, now that all of the COD titles made for Macintosh are available on the Mac App Store, I could purchase COD1 there, for $19.99, but with no expansion pack. Perhaps, if I find the expansion on the cheap somewhere, I could purchase it separately later.
What do you think I should do? I really want to be able to play this game, and the expansion pack!
Before anyone recommends that I partition my drive and load Snow Leopard:
I can't. My Mac mini has a 60GB SSD. Definitely too small to hold two OS partitions, and have space for games, apps, etc. In the near future I plan on purchasing a 128GB SSD, to rid myself of these disk space and Lion compatibility issues.
I only have one Intel-based Mac, which is my mini (of course). Other than that, I have two PowerMac G4's, and two iMac G3's. None of my PPC's have good enough specs to play the game provided by Amazon, which recommends a PowerMac G5 processor @ 2.0GHz, along with graphics better than any of my machines.
