Can one of you new Mac Pro owners confirm video mirroring to Apple TV?

Seems like a no-brainer, yet for all the other Macs a CPU with integrated GPU is required...

Thanks in advance,

AirPlay requires Intel QuickSync, not an integrated GPU. The webpage about screen mirroring still doesn't say that the Mac Pro is compatible with the feature, but I think it should work.

Fair enough, but the processors used in the new Mac Pro are not listed as supporting QuickSync, and since the only processors I can see that support QuickSync have internal GPUs I think those features may be tied together...

In any event, I am most curious as to the functionality (e.g. does it work) as opposed to the implementation.

I know you'd probably prefer a native implementation, but in case the nMP does not support screen mirroring over Airplay, you can get AirParrot software that does.

As an added bonus for boot camp users, AirParrot will mirror Windows to your AppleTV too.
