Was just wondering if developers would be able to develop widgets for the notification centre, either now or at some point in the future. I understand it'd be quite different to an app, but It'd be nice to see. I love having the weather and stock widgets going (even though I don't really care too much about stocks) and how you can scroll through them for different information. Anyone have any other widget ideas?

Does the Notification Centre have the facility for third party widgets?

I think the point of Notification Center is so that we can get a quick glance at all of our Notifications, once developers start creating Apps specific for the Notification Center, I can see it becoming more cluttered and eventually, useless.
Completely disagree. If you want it to be very minimalistic, then you can keep it minimalistic.
There are others of us that wouldn't mind seeing Sportacular develop a scrolling bar of sports scores (customizable to what I care about of course).
Some of us would love for other weather data to be shown and not just Yahoo's craptacular weather app.
Some of us might even like to quickly see what friends of ours are on Xbox Live, and what game they are playing.
Still others might want to see the 3 most recent news feed items from their facebook group of friends called "Closest Friends"
Not sure how adding the ability to display these types of things would make the notification center useless. In fact, I think it is laughable to even suggest.
I think you're spot on, I'd ove to see a list of local headlines scrolling through. Besides I think the ability to turn widgets off is key here, as you can choose a select two or three that best suit you. I love the xbox live idea!
