Ive been having an incredibly hard time typing in iOS 12. Ive owned iPhones since the first gen and have never had so many typos. I feel like the keyboard is more bug ridden now and has a hard time recognizing which keys i intend to press. Has anyone else been having this problem? It also seems more apparent in facebook than other apps.

I don’t think so. It’s the best keyboard period, rivals any third party keyboard. Coming from 2 weeks of using an android phone I’m so happy to be back on the iOS keyboard

Keyboard exactly the same as it has always been on my 2 devices on both 12.0 and 12.1.

I've actually seen massive improvements in the stock keyboard since iOS 12. It seems much more accurate for me and just feels all around more.... crisp. Not sure when it started but my typing speeds on iOS dropped significantly from what they were way back when. iOS 12 has brought that speed back for me.

Do you mean maybe like the mapping on the keyboard of where your fingers resister what you press may have been made shorter?? Like when you hit certain letters, before you have more forgiveness and it wou ld type the correct letter, but now those boundries changed

The word prediction on mine keeps trying to use foreign words with accents instead of the english word that I typed. Mostly french words for some reason and I don't even have that as one of my keyboards, just english, spanish latin america, and emoji

In my case I mostly use an ASK. The predictive and correction is less accurate.

yes, exactly. And I have the same name and last initial as you. Creepy.

I haven't had any issues with the iOS 12 keyboard but agree that it feels ever so slightly different. Small latency change in one of the button states, perhaps?

I switched back to SwiftKey because I find it more accurate.

I do feel as is my iPad Pro is more difficult to type on than I recall in the past but I’d have a hard time determining if the difference is me or the device or software.

I've felt it's been worse as far back as iOS 10. Or me switching back to an iPhone 3 years ago. Don't ever remember so many mistakes/accuracy on stock keyboard, in prior years/ios's. Glad I'm not the only one.

Yes! I make far more mistakes. It just doesn't seem as accurate anymore. Also, in the Apollo app the prediction and accuracy seems to complete shut off at random and I can barely type at all. It's just another thing added to the list of Apple's software going to crap, and they have the nerve to charge more than ever for what they're putting out.
