Because like you "upgraded" and left old hackies, kexts, etc in your Mac from 10.9.x. Do download and run the free application EtreCheck and run it. It will print out a text report that dill show you bad kexts, Trojans, unloaded kexts, etc that will point you to where you can manually delete these bad files! Then Reboot and your Mac will run quicker!

Don't think so. I didn't connect the old computer to the new one when I "upgraded." I downloaded all my apps separately; let dropbox bring over documents; the only things I did bring over were some preference files and some application support files.

Sounds like it imported kexts too. Just run the program! Even Mac techs use this program to clean Macs.

Dropbox always does that; it's a known issue
I've done everything but it always runs high.

Whats the problem with external disks?

Forget my externals comment! I was looking at several trouble tickets att once, sorry. However the DropBox is practily eating one of the two cores of your Mac. This is NOT normal so try to quit it to see if the Mac runs better as a test.

Shall do. Do you not see that when you move the cursor? Bear in mind it's in slow motion (the video) so it's not quite as obvious as that.

I've had slowdowns with Dropbox when I was editing a file that was stored on dropbox. Really slowed everything down. I solved the problem by copying the file to my desktop, edited it much faster, then copied it back to dropbox.
