I dont think so as the iPad Pro uses the 14.4V spec for fast charging which that battery does not support.

Thanks that’s super handy to know. Now I know to look for 14.4v
Edit : are you sure? a google for USBc pd 14.4v returns nothing at all

It’s crazy that they have the PD standard and then have so many variations that you can’t trust PD devices to work with PD chargers.

It does seem to charge a lot faster than the included 12W charger. Whether it’s as fast as apple’s fast charging I can’t say 100%. I’m using a 2015 12.9” Pro with it.

thats because Apples not following the true USB Power Delivery spec.

I have this exact battery pack and it fast-charges my iPad Pro 10.5 using the official Apple USB-C/Lightning cable.

My power meter shows 15.5V supplied and a current of 1.5-1.8A (see pic), ie up to 29W.

The battery pack also recharges at 14.5/2A using the Apple 29W adapter.

That’s awesome thanks so much for the test :)

Can’t do better than that a test of the exact battery pack, the exact iPad Pro model and a screenshot of the voltmeter

Definitely adding this to the shopping list for Christmas:)

Glad it’s helpful!

FWIW, the main reason I went with this RAVPower over the equivalent Anker 26800 PD battery is because the RAV supports nearly any PD input voltage (5/9/15/20V) as opposed to Anker’s 5/9V only.

Hence it can fast recharge using the 29W Apple charger whereas the Anker cannot. (It’s also a bit cheaper in the UK than the Anker)

Very happy with it so far :)

Can anyone confirm that the Anker 26800 PD Powerbank will quick charge the 10.5” iPad Pro?

That one doesn't fast charge the iPad Pro. USB-C PD is all about detecting the device and delivering the correct voltage. Anker designed that for the Macbook and haven't yet updated it for the full range of PD voltages.

However, it looks like they are silently updating some of their products. On the thread about power adaptors the previously incompatible Anker 4 USBA+1 USBC PD charger suddenly now has a new version which works with Ipad Pro and iPhone 8/X . So maybe an update to the battery is in the works. The power adaptors were literally only just updated so maybe the power banks are too. Its hard to tell when they keep the updates secret. Maybe they don't want to advertise the fact that they dropped the ball in the first place.

Another good thing about ravpower is that it supports passthrough charging too

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll go with the Ravpower one for now. Just waiting for a deal to come! :D
