does toast verify DVD data files properly?

A quick question, anyone know...

Does toast properly verify DVD data discs it burns?
I'm running OSX and using toast 5.2.1 and I keep getting "error mismatch @ byte xxx/ sector xxxxxxx verification failed. "

I've tried different files, so I figure it's not the files themselves... Though they are all on the same disc...

I"m burning some files from another disc right now.

I'm using apple 2X discs.
