Does ultrasn0w 1.1-1 fix battery issues?

Just wondering.

Still jailbroken, haven't installed mobilesubstrate or ultrasn0w though after doing a restore the other day. waiting to hear results.

I'm wondering, 3228-1 MS and ultrasn0w 1.1-1 or 3226-1 MS and ultrasn0w 1.1-1.

i know the update is out and its meant to improve battery life, but I want some user feedback especially regarding which mobilesubstrate they used since a lot of people (including myself who is at the very least weary) report a battery life difference between 3226 and 3228 MS, ultrasn0w installation aside.

I went back to 3209. I was getting 3-5% loss or more every hour doing nothing.

Many are saying before the new Ultrasn0w install, pull sim out and reset network settings, install Ultrasn0w, reboot, then put sim back in.

Don't know if it makes any difference.

Why not just install it and see what happens?
Not to be pissy, but was it really worth a new thread? The update was designed mainly to improve battery life for some users.
