I am on jailbreak 11.3.1, but haven’t used it for a month. I got fed up with it and wanted to go back to stock iOS (shut the phone off and on), but even though I deleted Electra from settings it’s technically still “jailbroken”. So, do I need to do anything beside updating to iOS 12 for my device to become unjailbroken again?

It’s been a while since I jailbroke my iPhones (maybe 8 years?) but IIRC if you try to update a jailbroken iPhone the process will fail. You need to restore the phone (which will make it a virgin device again)

I do an iTunes restore which will remove it and install IOS 12. Then set up the phone as new. If you use a JB backup, you may still get remnants of the JB added back on.

The device will no longer be jailbroken following the update. But if you really want to remove all traces of it, I recommend doing a restore through iTunes rather than an update.

I just updated to iOS 12 and everything seems to be gone. I don’t care too much about “leftovers” in the archives... especially if I’m buying a max :)
