I do some image and video editing using Pixelmator and FCPX. Nothing really on the super heavy end of things- most images are 8-12MB and most video files are 1080p with an occasional 4K thrown in. I wanted to know what kind of performance boost, if any, would the Radeon Vega provide over the 500 series.
I'm debating between purchasing the base 27-inch model or go all out with the high-end. I feel that the base model (with SSD and 3rd party RAM updates) will provide a goon enough experience for everyday tasks. I do play games like Diablo or such occasionally but not to the extent where I want a GPU specifically for gaming. But if the GPU will help with the likes of FCPX and Pixelmator/Photoshop, then its certainly worth considering.
