On the MBP (8GB/512GB) it doesn't even get the fan running. I was playing Diablo III last night (medium-high settings at 2560 x 1600), and the machine got slightly warm, but the fans didn't even turn on then...

I have played a couple of times on the Air now (8GB/512GB) in sessions of over 5 hours. Game is rock solid. I cap the frame rate at 45, turn off SSAO and sun shafts as this keeps the Air running at a cool to warm state.

OK, just got mine. Played for 30 minutes at the recommended settings (quality 5, half resolution --1440x900). I didn't do anything crazy like dungeon, but the framerate never ticked off of 60FPS and it didn't even feel warm after that time.

I'll experiment with higher settings later, but it's perfectly playable at 5 and if I want the real pretties I can play on my desktop, so I'm 100% set and happy.

Not. Even. Warm.

Ok, played for an hour and a half tonight and decided to stretch its legs a bit. It took quality 10 at 1440x900 without flinching, 60FPS without fail, barely warmed up past room temp. I bumped it up as far as full resolution (3880x1800) quality 6. The frame rate dropped to 40-50 but it was immediate and it stayed there, I left it there for about a half hour before going back to 1440x900 quality 9. It was fairly warm when I switched back, but there was no apparent throttling (and still nowhere near as warm as the 16" MBP this replaced would get under load).

Again, I wasn't in heavily-populated areas so that needs to be taken into account, but... damn. Just... damn.
