Does Yosemite offer anything of note for the nMP?

I'm on the fence about upgrading. I have not loved Mavericks, but am a little weary of the bright blue Helvetica monster that is Yosemite on my two 1440p non-retina displays.

I tried the beta on my MBA and after a while it did not look "so bad" so maybe it will be ok on the better 1440p screens.

The reviews I've seen seem to focus on iOS integration and the "new look" but don't talk a lot about under the hood stuff.

Anything of note that we know of? Especially in regards to graphics drivers or OpenCL?

Not sure but I'd wait at least until the next update before upgrading. Let others be the crash test dummies. When in doubt, wait it out.

I've been using Yosemite on my nMP since Public Beta 2 and it's been extremely stable. Some apps haven't worked without an update, but I've never experienced a crash (either app or OS related) in the last couple of months.

As for the visuals, I use dark mode and have replaced the folder icons with a dark set so it looks better than any previous version of OS X to me. The transparency is a nice touch and instantly makes previous version of OS X feel dated.

Functionality wise, it's worth it just for the improvements in Safari for me. Although you may find switching a bit jarring at first since somethings are done differently (particularly fav bookmarks). However, once you get use to it, it's a very nice improvement.

Besides these things, there's little difference IMHO.

I haven't used handoff or continuity yet, but I foresee using those features on my laptop more than my nMP.
