No, but mine aren't scandalous. I had a photo of Eva Green as Vesper in Casino Royale as my background, no problem. Sure, my girlfriend teased me about it, but I definitely didn't get reemed about it. If it were overly sexual or nude I would understand, but just a celebrity I think is attractive in normal or slightly provocative clothing doesn't matter.

Probably depends on what girlie wallpaper means exactly...

I think I could get away with stuff like TV/Film actresses (like rhsgolfer33 described), but if I decided to have a daily Page 3 girl on my desktop I might soon be looking for booted towards the door.

Most girls shouldn't mind, so long as you are not going overboard about it. Guys can sometimes be totally rude, gross and disrespectful about this kind of thing. If she minds, she minds. Be accommodating. Mutual respect benefits you both. If she doesn't mind, excellent. :)

FTR, I don't mind. I like looking at girls too.

I found even when I was not dating some one to cause trouble by having "girllie" wall paper of some girl with very little clothing on.

In college every now and then a female friend would come up to my dorm room for something or to hang out for a little while. Or later on bug me in my be room. I would of had all kinds of crap to put up with. Personally I go with more netural back grounds that no one can be offended by.

I have had pictures of some friends as the back ground but normally I go with a Star Trek back ground on my computer. Or I have for several years now. Another back ground I used was from MegamanX. Different things over the years but always more on the neutral ground and general pretty safe

Strictly speaking - no, my girlfriend doesn't care what I have as my wallpaper. She has more self confidence than to feel threatened by a picture.

However, as she knows my rule of creativity as regards my MacBook wallpaper, whereby my wallpaper must always be a photograph that I have taken myself, I guess if there was suddenly a picture of a semi-naked nubile young thing on my desktop she might get a little suspicious as to where I have been sticking my lens (so to speak).

My boyfriend had Angelina Jolie so I changed it to... moi!

Ha - I bet he didn't even notice :D

i'd feel a bit weird having it there while she's around.

if i had one, she'd probably change hers to something like johnny depp with his top off. i personally don't think he's all that haha.

and also most girl say they don't care, but deep down they probably do.

I rarely have girlie wallpapers. They're a bit distracting for a while until you get used to them. And once you get used to them, what's the point? :D

But beyond that, I wouldn't go out of my way to have one when I'm dating. I'm single for the first time in a long time and it's the only time where I've had such a wallpaper.

For all those guys who have them and get negative reactions; how would you feel if your girlfriend had a shirtless photo of [insert male celebrity here] as their wallpaper? Don't make it a double standard.

My wife would just piss herself laughing and call me a sad git.

LOL. :)

I wouldn't mind if my boyfriend had pictures of a celebrity that was posed respectfully or if it was promoting some movie/show he was into, but there's definitely a line there that could get crossed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not naive enough to think that just because a guy is in a relationship and totally committed/faithful he's not going to look at any girl but me, but I'd take issue if he was flaunting the fact as his wallpaper. It's the same as a guy blatantly oggling other girls while I'm standing right next to him. IMO, that's something to do around your buddies and away from me - and doing otherwise shows disrespect (not to mention maturity implications). Ultimately it boils down to the fact that I know I'm not the only girl in this world, but around him, I kinda want to feel like I am.

My wife is cool about it. I think you have to be pretty insecure to gripe about a desktop wallpaper. As someone else said, you can't be naive enough to think that he only finds YOU attractive and only wants to look at YOU.

Hum at first I thought, a guy with a hello kitty wallpaper. LOL, what a girly-man. =p

Then I thought, OP probably meant girls on a wallpaper.

However, image search for girlie wallpapers confirms my original suspicion. no hello kitty but lots of NON-risquée images...

I don't care, but I think it's weird to have a naked or half-naked art piece as my wallpaper in public.

I try and use unnoticeable wallpapers on my laptop because I got tired of "can I see your wallpaper?" when someone who is watching over my shoulder catches a glimpse.
"Spectrum of the sky" is my current wallpaper. :D
