Does your MBP C2D isight works fine ???

I just got my new mbp C2D and i have an issue with the built in isight.
In low light, the picture is very noisy or very dark.
I compare with macbook pro core duo or macbook C2D and their isight worked a lot better. So apple send me a new one.
I wanted to know if you MBP c2d owners have the same problem or have u a good isight.

Mine seems OK. It has better low-light performance and less noise than my stand-alone iSight.

In either case, check out iGlasses. It will give you access to video adjustments, and has presets for low light (even almost no light). I would use the "Extra Bright" preset in a darkened room. The screen gives enough illumination. But, you can create your own settings.

I tried iglasses, for the brightness, it's better but there's always a lot lot lot of noise. On the other built in isight, i noticed there were no noise at all even in very low light conditions.
However i'm glad to know that's this isight issue is not affecting all new MBP so with just a little amount of luck my next one would work fine.

If highly doubt that Apple will send you a new MBP because your images on a gimmicky iSight camera are grainy in low light conditions.

Maybe you doubt but the new one is between Shanghai and my home at this time according to tnt tracking service.
Actually Apple accepts to change the products which are less than 15 days old if there is a material issue.
When i went to a french apple center they confirmed me it was a material issue, so i called back the Apple store and they said me they where going to change it.

good to hear...Maybe I should do the same with my issues. My MBP isn't 100% even on the desk. But other than that it is working great so I am not prepared to have a new one come back with different, and more serious problems

Thanks for considering my case so much, but i only wanted to know if your isight was fine or not. I never asked to know if it is or not a minor problem for you.
Maybe you only play with photobooth to have fun with your friends,so i understand you consider it like a minor issue, but maybe you would change your mind if you have to use the isight everyday (the evening in low light most often) and if you have to bring a flashlight to be seen.In this case maybe you would consider it like a major issue don't you?

I know that maybe the next one will have bigger issues ... it's the life, but if it has not i would be glad.

Maybe if I was using it every day it would be a bigger issue, but without backlighting there is only so much a tiny camera such as this can do in the dark. good luck with the new one...
