I think this might indicate some sort of difference between the firmware in the phones.

When I got my launch phone, I could've sworn that the "Slide to unlock" line of text would continue to glow from left to right when I started to move it.

However, my newer replacement stops the glowing animation as soon as I touch my finger to it.

My iPhone doesn't do anything besides the slider move across when I touch the "slide to unlock" button. No glowing or anything. My iPhone was purchased on iDay.

When i touch the slider the text does stop glowing. It also fades when I start to slide the slider. And when I take my finger off the slider the text starts to glow again.
