Doing a clean install of SL, will iPhone delete it's data?

Hello,

I got SL today (Yay) I want to do a clean install, I'm backing up my iTunes libary but how do I get the iPhone to sync as usuall?
I don't want it to delete all music and etc from the device.

back up all the stuff in the itunes folder in music. also back up all your music, if not in that itunes folder, then just copy it across to snow leopard

unless you have an external HDD lying around, then use time machine

Okay I'm doing that then I have a 1TB external HDD, so I got space!
