Hi,

Have a brand new iMAC Desktop.

In my old MAC, I had somehow a paper clip icon on the top bar (not sure what this bar is called)
to show a list of all the items I had done a COPY on.

How do I get it back, please ?

How do I do a COPY on my new MAC ? Just a right Mouse click, or something else to set up to enable ?

Bob

What you're describing is a type of app usually called a "clipboard manager".

There's a free one that uses a paper clip icon, it's called CopyClip (clickable link, takes you to the App Store).
Maybe that's the one you had on your old Mac?

And yes, the built-in macOS clipboard is usually just a right click away (or the Cmd+C, Cmd+V keyboard shortcuts), but it doesn't have history. This functionality is provided by those "clipboard manager" apps for those who need it.

For TouTou, et al,

Hi again,

Hate to bother you, really, but my Apple Account
is all messed up. won't accept Apple ID, etc.

Would sure like to use CopyClip.

Any way or chance you could just send me this APP, or program, without my having
to try more in getting from the Apple Store.

Is it even possible to do so ?

Much thanks,
Bob

I'd be reluctant to share even a free app from the Mac App store, as I assume it would be a violation of the terms.

However, the same software outfit that lists CopyClip (for free) on the Mac App store also sells CopyClip 2 from their website, for $8. There's a free trial. So that's an option if you can't get your Apple ID to work.

Hi,
Thanks.
That’s what I’ll do.

It’s a great App, and this newer one is probably better.

Regards,
Bob
